This page should give you an overview over what plans there are with respect to product development. Please note that while we take great care in planning releases, things may change in the future. Therefore any plans described below are subject to change without notice.
| DITA | |
DITA is a new XML standard for software documentation. It describes in great detail how to store certain information types. Think of if as a standard file format for your Help content.
We have plans to support this standard with a new version
- by supporting DITA source files as input format in Doc-O-Matic, and
- by making it possible to save topics to DITA compliant topic files.
There are no definitive release dates available at this point, we're targeting Q2-Q3 2008 for this release.
| Documentation Server | |
The goal of this project is to provide server software that makes it possible for technical writers to collaborate with others on a Doc-O-Matic Help project remotely. The server will then build the documentation using the Doc-O-Matic engine and provide high-quality output in different formats like it does now.
There are no definitive release dates available at this point.
